Mel Gibson has apologised for his behaviour during his arrest for drunk driving last week. He said his remarks were "despicable" and that he has battled alcoholism his whole life (I don't really buy that as an excuse. There are lots of alcoholics out there who don't feel the need to be racist or sexist).
However, according to the LA Times, his apology may not be enough. It has been suggested that this incident could have a long term negative impact on his career.
What a bloody idiot. He could have just had a drunk driving arrest and left it at that, people get over those things. But instead he had to be a dickhead...but then, I've always suspected that those were his true colours.
