Tiger Lily doesn't want to live with Bob?
According to the Daily Mail, Michael Hutchence's mother is claiming that his daughter Tiger Lily is unhappy at Casa del Crazy Name. Bob Geldoff won custody of Tiger after the death of his ex Paula Yates, Tiger is now growing up with her three half sisters Fifi Trixibelle, Peaches Honeyblossom and Pixie.
The paper reports that:
The ten-year-old daughter of Hutchence and Geldof's former wife Paula Yates is also barely allowed to spend more than a minute on the phone to her, Patricia Glassop alleged.
Speaking in the Australian magazine New Idea, Mrs Glassop claimed Tiger Lily had told her she was so unhappy in London that she wanted to move to Australia to be with her grandmother.
'I can't tell you how many times we've tried to phone her, only to have the phone go click in our ear, or to be told that the number has been disconnected.
'Other times when Tiger rings, we'll be on the phone for about a minute before Tiger whispers, "I've got to go".'
Meh. I don't really buy it.
This woman lost out after a bitter custody battle with Sir Bob, and I'm sure she misses her granddaughter after her son's tragic death but I really don't think he'd prevent Tiger from talking to her grandmother. I'm not a fan but I don't think he's ever shown himself to be anything less than a good parent and wouldn't have won custody if anything else was the case.
Also, every child at some stage wishes they could live with someone else, be it someone elses parents, their grandparents, their aunt and uncle - maybe she was in trouble and therefore grumpy with Bob? God knows I wished I was being raised by someone else countless times in my childhood. Mostly when my parents wouldn't buy me what I wanted, punished me for doing something bold or made me do my chores. All of which are signs of good parenting!
