Princess Madonna really loves the orphans.

Princess Madonna (I've been calling her that since I lied to my little sister and said she was a princess to make her like her...mwah ha ha ha ha) feels responsible for the children of the world. (em...ego much? I love her but what the?)

She has told Time magazine:

"Now that I have children and now that I have what I consider to be a better perspective on life, I have felt responsible for the children of the world, I've been doing bits and bobs about it and I suppose I was looking for a big, big project I could sink my teeth into."

Her big project means spending a million dolla' on a documentary about orphans and a partnership with Jeffrey Sachs (Sachs is the name, fighting poverty is his game).

That big project Raising Malawi includes financing a $1 million documentary about the plight of the orphans, as well as a partnership with anti-poverty crusader Dr. Jeffrey Sachs on programs to improve the health, agriculture and economy of a Malawi village.

She is also building an orphanage and has met with Bill Clinton to talk about making medicine cheaper for the malaria and AIDs plagued nation (home to 1 million orphans).

I'm so happy about this. It really upsets me that we are so happy to ignore Africa and its problems so I'm delighted that Princess M has taken action.

On a completely selfish note, this news makes me even MORE excited about the fact that I'm going to see her concert in 8 days! 8 DAYS! Its all so thrilling.
